A person first, a grandparent too
There is no single grandparent personality. Interests, routines, families and ways of taking part differ. Our starting point is to ask what someone enjoys now and offer an activity that can be adjusted or skipped. The site welcomes family relationships and trusted connections of different kinds; it does not assume a particular household or a complete family archive.
What we make
Our conversation cards are original prompts. The activity shelf provides materials, steps and adaptation ideas, and the visit planner turns one selected idea into a loose timetable. These tools organise a project; they do not assess someone’s ability, wellbeing or care needs. They never require personal stories, names or answers to be entered.
How the guides work
The notebook focuses on practical decisions: choosing a small starting point, keeping uncertainty visible and agreeing what may be recorded or shared. References to external resources are clearly identified. We are not affiliated with or endorsed by the Library of Congress or other organisations mentioned. Illustrations are original artwork, not photographs of particular people or retailer products.
Gift comparisons
We suggest categories around interests and shared activities, with details to compare in the actual listing. We do not claim to have tested individual products, invent reviews or display live prices, ratings and availability. Amazon controls the search results. A related activity can often be tried with something already at home.
Funding and privacy
Affiliate shopping links may earn commission from qualifying purchases. They are labelled beside the link, and the disclosure appears throughout the site. No accounts, analytics scripts or stored family records are included. See the affiliate disclosure and privacy page for details.
